Ok, so I think I have finally been hit by the summer bug when it comes to my knitting. I’ve been working tirelessly away on Jason’s sweaters (wool, alpaca, angora mix) and my Tangled Yoke Cardigan (wool, alpaca mix) and they look amazing, but man are they toasty to be knitting.
I’ve rediscovered some sock yarn in my stash from Cascade Heritage, 2 skeins in white, and 2 skeins in purple.
I also have some leftover Madelinetosh Pashmina in Candlewick which also feel nice and light to knit with. And now the summer patterns have been calling my name.
Summer knitting is great. They tend to be projects
that use small amounts of yarn, and they finish up pretty quickly since there are usually no sleeves to have to deal with! I tend to hate sleeves, they take forever!
I think I’ll start that using the Madelinetosh Pashmina. But there are a few other patterns I have fallen in love with.
Have you been bitten by the summer knitting bug yet? I’m hoping that I can stave off the temptation for a few more weeks so I can finish Jason’s sweater and my Tangled Cardi. Knock on wood and fingers crossed that I can stay motivated!
